Feng Shui For SOHO (Home Office)

It is becoming more and more common for people to start running a business from home nowadays, especially with rentals going higher and higher year after year.

So, how do we apply Feng Shui for these offices? The basic principles of location and direction remains equally important. Colors, objects and pictures remain secondary and in fact, should not be factors you lose sleep over.

Theoretically, the first step is to find the best sector to use as your office, though in reality, you may not always have that option. So, it depends on individual situation. If you have a choice to select the room for your office location, then you need to understand some basic theory of finding the favorable sectors in your house. If you are only limited to one room, then you can use the next step of calculating your Kua number to determine your personal favorable DIRECTIONS and LOCATIONS. See below for the calculation of the Kua number.

Calculating the Kua Number
* If you are a male, add the last 2 digits from your Year of Birth until you get a single digit. Take 10 to minus this number and the resultant is your Kua Number. (Note: If this resultant number is 5, your Kua number should become Kua 2)

* If you are a female, add the llast 2 digits from your Year of Birth until you get a single digit. Take 5 and add to this number and the resultant is your Kua Number. (Note: If this resultant number is 5, your Kua number should become Kua 8)

East and West Grouping
* East Group : You belong to this group if your Kua number is 1, 3, 4 and 9.

* West Group : You belong to this group if your Kua number is 2, 6, 7 and 8.

EAST GROUP
If you belong to the East Group, your personal favorable directions and locations are North, South, East and Southeast.

WEST GROUP
If you belong to the West Group, your personal favorable directions and locations are Northwest, Southwest, Northeast and West.

NEXT, how do you use the above information?

Below is the step by step approach:-
(1) Find your personal "Sheng Qi" by reference to the table below. "Sheng Qi" is a wealth and opportunity enhancing star hence, it can help give a boost to your business.

(2) Within the office room, determine which sector belongs to your personal "Sheng Qi" and place your desk such that you sit facing this "Sheng Qi" direction. For example, if you are Kua 1, your personal "Sheng Qi" is in the Southeast. Position your desk such that you are facing Southeast direction.

(3) If "Sheng Qi" direction in the room is not possible, then look for the next personal favorable direction as stated above under "East" and "West" group.
