Feng Shui Advice on Moving Home or Office

Within a short span of 2 weeks, I came across several stories about the things that people do or rather don’t do in the case of moving house or office. Some shared with me what they intend to do while some told me their personal experiences of what happened. From all that I have gath ered, I felt it would be beneficial to give some advice on a few relevant but very important things to observe when moving home or office.

Below is the list of guidelines:-

  • Selection of Home or Office

“Selecting the right house or office” is the most important phase prior to moving. The selection criteria takes into account the residents who will occupy the place, the type of career they are in, the type of business the company operates in and lastly, the “surrounding environment” (or called External Feng Shui environment) where it is residing.

The surrounding environment plays a critical role in causing either positive or negative Feng Shui to the place in consideration and because it is beyond our control to dictate or influence how the surrounding environment should be, it is therefore important for us to assess this first before committing to the rental or purchase of the place.

Once the place can be pre-assessed to determine the quality of the Feng Shui surroundings, the internal arrangements can subsequently be done with ease and also, with minimal alterations.

  • Internal Arrangements Plan

Internal arrangements or layout must also be considered critically because in every property (home or office), there is always a mix of “positive” and “negative” sectors. Therefore, the internal audit of the place is to identify where these respective sectors are and then, decide on the layout plan.

For houses, there are usually limitations as most of the time people purchase ready built houses. However, for offices, they usually come as empty units and hence, the internal arrangements are within the occupants control. It is therefore important then to identify the positive sectors of the place and arrange the layout such that the management offices and staff seating are positioned to benefit from the positive energies.

All these will help contribute to good health, positive relationships and business or career progress for the occupants in the place.

  • Selection of Date for Renovation work

Upon completion of the layout plan is the “selection of the right date” to start reno vations. As Feng Shui also has a “time” factor, there are different Feng Shui energies for different days. The reno vation works usually involve lots of drilling, hacking, nailing and so on, hence they are “moving the chi” or activating the energies in the place.

Selecting the right date is to ensure that there are positive energies on that specific day with respect to the place to be renovated, thus ensuring that the renovation process is smooth and without del ay.

  • Selection of Date for Moving Into House or Office

Finally, selecting the right date to move in is also to ensure that the day chosen has positive energies that will be activated by the people moving in and around the place. These energies will then help bring about a smooth continuation of the business or career, positive relationships among the occupants and very importantly, good health as well.

Many people or companies work hard to achieve their goals and success over time and yet, things can unexpectedly change drastically just with a simple act of “moving”. It is sad that people only question the effect of “Feng Shui” when things go wrong when in actual fact, this could have been avoided in the first place.

With this article, I hope you will find the information a useful guide in your planning when seeking out a new place to move to.
